1. Oso de Oro Park…
in Northwest Fresno is located at 5550 N. Forkner, between Barstow and Bullard Ave. Since opening in 1995, Oso de Oro has been a favorite family friendly park because of its many features and desirable location. The parks many attributes include a full time park attendant, picnic pavilions, 2 main play structures with play-safe matting, a live stream with water flume, lake with plenty of hungry ducks, and expansive grassy areas. The park spans 9 acres and is surrounded by homes in beautiful neighborhoods. Fresno Unified’s Malloch Elementary is nearby serving children grades kindergarten to 6th grade.

2. Figarden Loop Park…
opened in January of 2010. Figarden Loop Park’s convenient location and special features make it a real draw to Northwest Fresno families. Located at 4265 W. Figarden Drive, it is centrally located and easy to get to. The park features awesome play equipment with an area for toddlers, a water feature area that is operational in the warm summer months, and several baseball fields fitted with sunken dugouts, bullpens, and shaded bleachers. This park is a great place to cool off on a warm summer day. Nearby schools include Fresno Unified’s Figarden Elementary.

3. Tenaya Park…

Tenaya Park
is a small park nestled in a desirable Northwest Fresno neighborhood. Located on West Sample, just south of Sierra, between Palm and Fruit. It is small and quaint, easy to keep your eye on your little ones while they play. I have to mention this park; it is one of my favorites. Surrounded by an expansive grassy area with sidewalk this is a fun place to bring bikes and scooters. Dogs are welcome in this northwest Fresno neighborhood. This park is family friendly and has a great neighborhood feel. The park is maintained by 143 homeowners who pay additional taxes. The park is open to the public, closes at 10 p.m., and alcohol is prohibited. Fresno Unified’s Gibson Elementary, Starr Elementary, and Kratt Elementary are all close by to serve children kindergarten to sixth grade.
