One of the greatest features of living in the Clovis North area is the high caliber schools offered through the Clovis Unified School District. The Clovis North area in particular features some of the highest ranking elementary schools in the 2011 Growth API scores.
Did you know that 12 Clovis Unified schools received 2012 California Distinguished Schools status? The Program focuses on California’s students and their entitlement to an equitable and rigorous education. The program identifies and honors those schools that have demonstrated educational excellence for all students. 6 of the 12 are located in Fresno and 2 of the 6 distinguished schools are in the Clovis North High school area of NE Fresno (plus 1 Clovis North school in Clovis, Bud Rank). Here are the top 5 Clovis North elementary schools according to API scores.

3. BUD RANK: Bud Rank Elementary is located at 3650 Powers Avenue in the heart of the Harlan Ranch, directly across from the community’s resort features and main park. The school opened almost five years ago and already has one of the best reputations in Clovis. Bud Rank has an API score of 945 and is also one of the fourteen schools in CUSD to be been named a 2012 California Distinguished School.
4. COPPER HILLS: Copper Hills Elementary is located at 1881 E. Plymouth, directly across from the Todd Beamer Park (link to our article) and is known for having a “boutique” kind of feel. It is one of the smaller elementary schools in Clovis North and has maintained its community-family environment. Not surprisingly, Copper Hills was also one of the 2012 California Distinguished Schools and had an API score of 931.
5. MOUNTAIN VIEW: Mountain View Elementary is located at 2002 East Alluvial on the corner of Maple and Nees. Mountain view is centrally located and has had strong parental involvement over the years. With a score of 893, this school is wonderful place for students who want a great education.
